On February 5th, El Paso County Sheriff’s Deputies Micah Flick and Scott Stone were shot during an multi-agency task force arrest. Stone survived, but Flick did not. The police force community is tight-knit and the financial hardship that comes with the death of an officer is very real. Immediately following the death of Deputy Flick, the Colorado LEO Wives created a t-shirt (left) that has already raised over $31,000 for the Flick family.
The El Paso Sheriff’s Office has also launched their own custom t-shirt (below) to benefit the Flick and Stone family. The back of the shirt reads, “The Pain I Feel Today Will Become the Strength I Feel Tomorrow,” a quote that was pinned to Flick’s cubicle.
Two Westerville, OH Police Officers, Eric Joering, 39, and Anthony Morelli, 54, were shot and killed responding to a domestic dispute, earlier this month. Over 2000 t-shirts with “Forever Family” printed on the front was sold at the Centerburg High School basketball with proceeds benefiting both families. Officer Joering’s three daughters attend the school.
