Looking for a cool way to promote your brand to thousands? Try your own cutom bingo card! Andy Sturdevant with the Minnesota Post knows a t-shirt is not just a t-shirt, especially when it’s worn to one of the biggest events of the year: the Minnesota State Fair. It’s a statement. From representing your college on game day or who you plan to vote for in the mid-term elections, to showing off your recent concert tee or promoting your business services – t-shirts are your message to the world.
His survey of T-Shirts of the State Fair comes with a dedicated bingo card he describes as “an illustrated example of a specific T-shirt you might see…”
Bingo Card Marketing Hack
How can your business take advantage of a bingo card? There’s no shortage of large scale events in anytown USA. If you own a restaurant and you plan to have a booth, advertise your presence there. Create a card with images or words of what one might see at the event, ie. man with a beard, girl with pigtails, band t-shirt, someone dancing, etc. Add your logo on a few squares. Ask participants to fill out a line and bring it to your booth at the event for a free drink with a meal.
Even better, ask winners to include their phone and email address on the back of the card and add them to your list of people to send newsletters and coupons to in the future. Make sure you have plenty of cards at your booth during the event so people who haven’t downloaded can play and/or participants can play again.
